Meaning of Design

Celtic Knot: The Celtic Knot is the most well known celtic design, It represents eternity and continuity. In christianity it is used to represent the Holy Trinity: Father , Son and Holy Spirit. It is thought to show the continuous energy flow from life and deathThe never ending knotwork can symbolise the love and never ending commitment given in the sacred blessings of the marriage vows. The three knots can represent the past, present and future of the relationship.

The Claddagh:  is a unique irish symbol of love! The hands of friendship, crown loyalty and the heart symboling love. The tradition dates back to the 16th century when a native of galway city, Richard Joyce was captured by Algerian Corsairs on his way to the West Indies, when he eventually returned he settled in the small village of claddagh just outside the city of Galway where he crafted the first Claddagh ring. As the years went have passed, the powerful sentiment that the Claddagh evokes of love and friendship endures.
